Before you leave
Dibrugarh sits in the middle of Assam's tea belt and several estates offer bungalow stays and factory tours. Adding a night before or after the Arunachal section is an easy and genuinely good use of the time.
Tawang from Dibrugarh
Possible but not advisable — it is roughly 700 km west, which means two days of driving before your trip even begins. If Tawang is the goal, fly to Guwahati instead.
