Getting to Arunachal from Bangalore
Bengaluru (BLR) to Guwahati (GAU) is roughly 3 hours 10 minutes non-stop on most days, with return fares generally ₹12,000 to ₹19,000 booked ahead. Schedules vary by season, so check both direct and one-stop options via Kolkata.
If the direct flight does not fit your dates, routing through Kolkata is usually the shortest connection and gives you the option of an overnight there.
By train
Bangalore to Guwahati by train takes around 55 to 60 hours. Not a realistic option for most holidays.
How many days of leave you need
A 7-day Tawang tour needs 9 days of leave. The 13-day grand tour needs 15.
The rule is simple: add one day at each end of the tour length if you are flying from outside the North East. Our tour lengths are quoted from Guwahati.

Bangalore to Tawang is a large temperature swing
You will go from around 25°C to below freezing within 48 hours. Bring a proper insulated jacket, thermals, gloves and a warm hat — not a Bangalore-winter fleece. Buying warm clothing in Guwahati is possible but the selection is limited.

Every traveller from Bangalore who is not an Arunachal resident needs an Inner Line Permit. Send us a scan of your photo ID about ten days before travel and we apply for it on your behalf, at the government fee with no service charge added.
