Arunachal tour budget in one paragraph
For a first Arunachal tour budget, plan on ₹22,900 per person for the seven-day Tawang trip when four people share a vehicle, land arrangements only. That is the Arunachal tour package price from Guwahati. From Kolkata, add a return flight of ₹5,500–9,000, so the total travel cost is roughly ₹28,400–31,900 per person. A couple travelling alone pays ₹31,000–34,000 for the land portion, or about ₹36,500–43,000 with the flight from Kolkata.

Note the ceiling. Outside Guwahati there is very little luxury infrastructure in Arunachal. Above a point, more money buys you a better room in Dirang, not a different class of holiday.

The vehicle is the single largest line item and it is shared. A seven-day Tawang trip needs roughly ₹42,000–48,000 of vehicle, fuel and driver cost regardless of whether two people or six are sitting in it.

Five honest ways to spend less
- Travel in a group of four or six. This is worth more than every other saving combined.
- Go in March, April or November rather than October or over New Year. Same weather, noticeably lower hotel rates.
- Choose homestays over hotels in Ziro and the Siang valley. Cheaper, and honestly better.
- Skip Bum La if the budget is tight. It adds several thousand rupees and is frequently closed by weather anyway.
- Fly into Guwahati on the first flight of the day. You gain half a driving day, which can remove a whole night's hotel cost.
A note on very cheap quotes: if someone quotes a seven-day Tawang trip at ₹12,000 per person, something is missing — usually it is a shared vehicle you will be sharing with strangers, hotels booked on arrival rather than in advance, or a per-person price that assumes a full ten-seater. Ask for the vehicle type, the group size assumed, and the hotel names before comparing.
