Tezpur's Salonibari airport (TEZ) has limited scheduled services. Most travellers reach Tezpur by road from Guwahati, about four to five hours, or fly into Guwahati and start the tour there.
If you already live in Tezpur, you are only about 60 km from the Arunachal gate at Bhalukpong — roughly an hour and a half.
By train
Tezpur has a railway station with limited connections; Rangapara North junction nearby has more. Guwahati remains the main railhead for the region.

A Tawang tour from Tezpur runs 6 days rather than 7, because you skip the Guwahati–Bhalukpong leg.

Nameri and Bhalukpong on your doorstep
